Gavin's bar mitzvah in Bellevue was perfectly planned, down to the embroidery on the inside of his suit coat pocket - with his Dad's to match! So many wonderful, generationally important items of significance were incorporated into his service. His party at the Bellevue Club completed the celebration!

Audrey's bat mitzvah was held in the gorgeous Alhadeff Sanctuary of Temple De Hirsch Sinai in Seattle and she led the havdalah service with such grace and poise. Surrounded by so many friends and family that love her, Audrey's celebration continued at the stunning Fremont Foundry venue in the heart of the Fremont neighborhood in Seattle where she and her guests danced the night away!

Oliver held the congregation's attention on his every word as he led the service and delivered one of the most heartfelt, inspirational bar mitzvah speeches I have ever heard. The evening found his family and friends celebrating him at his "Oliver's March Madness" themed basketball party at the Sand Point Country Club!

Zoe’s bat mitzvah took place on Queen Anne hill in Seattle through the Kavana Cooperative. Zoe’s commitment to Jewish community, compassion for others, and a desire to make a difference made her service so special. Her party at the Seattle Aquarium was filled with dancing, fun, and of course plenty of sea life!

The B'NAI Mitzvah Experience
It's so important to hire a photographer who is familiar with the significance, tradition, and timing of a bar or bat mitzvah service.
As a photographer who has captured over 60 b'nai mitzvah services to date, I am comfortable in a temple setting, am a preferred photographer with Temple De Hirsch Sinai, and am very familiar with the sequence and timing of services.
I know these moments cannot be recreated, if missed. I know how to best prepare you, what to watch for, what's coming up next, and how to capture the emotion of this very special day.
Your teen has worked SO HARD in preparation for this special day. Your family deserves to have a photographer that works hard for you! You deserve a truly experienced b'nai mitzvah photographer that allows you to breathe easy knowing she will get the job done right and make your life as stress free as possible.

As soon as you know your bar or bat mitzvah date, it's time to reach out! You don't need to have all the details of your day finalized yet, but if you have a firm date, we can get you on my calendar.
It is not uncommon for me to get multiple requests for the same date. Clients will frequently contact me 1 or even 2 years prior to their event, so reaching out early to secure your date is key.
There is only one of me, so when a date is booked, my availability for someone else is gone. Reach out as early as possible to secure your place on my calendar so we can discuss your vision for this milestone day!

After you've locked in your date with a signed contract and payment of the retainer, it's time to congratulate yourself for checking off one of the most important vendors you'll need for your b'nai mitzvah: You've secured your photographer... and I can't wait to serve you!
Planning and hosting a b’nai mitzvah can feel overwhelming. After you’ve secured me as your photographer, you can rest easy knowing that is one less thing to worry about. I can promise you that no photographer will work harder for your family than myself.
Now you can sit back and relax knowing the photography for your teen's milestone day is in the very best hands.
3. PORTRAIT SESSION (OPTIONAL ADD ON)
Booking an additional portrait session in advance of your b'nai mitzvah can be a great way for you to make sure you have all the images you'll need for necessities such as save the date cards, party sign in boards, and decor.
It's also a great chance for us to meet before the big day and for me to connect with your child, ensuring they'll feel more relaxed in front of my camera when they become a bar or bat mitzvah.
Since I book up months in advance, we'll want to schedule your portrait session as soon as you've decided you'd like one. I recommend scheduling this session to take place at least 2 months prior to your b'nai mitzvah date so we have plenty of time.
4. MEETING & TIMELINE
Before your event date I will meet with you to to learn more about your amazing b'nai mitzvah teen and family. We will discuss your vision for the event, and review my proposed, carefully crafted photography timeline.
With over a decade of experience, I know exactly how to ensure that every aspect of your b’nai mitzvah day is captured and timed: from the family portraits before the service to the party, speeches, candle-lighting, dancing and the hora... and all the details in between!
With my guidance, you will feel completely prepared for your big day, and confident knowing I'll be capturing it all.
5. THE B'NAI MITZVAH DAY
The day you've planned and have waited for is finally here! Mazel Tov!
You've planned every detail of this day to perfection and you know what to expect since I've coached you along the way. We've prepared for this. The photography timelines and shot list we've created together will be clear and in place, leaving you feeling confident and at ease.
Your only job now is to enjoy this incredible b'nai mitzvah and trust me to capture all the details and unforgettable moments while you live every one of them.
6. IMAGE DELIVERY
It's finally here! Your images are ready!
Your photos will be delivered to you within 4-6 weeks via a beautiful, easy to use online gallery. You'll relive the magic of your bar or bat mitzvah through my story telling photography that captures the emotion and authentic connections of this day. You'll find all the moments you'd expect to find captured, and likely some you did not even realize happened but are so glad they did.
Your gallery will be tied to a professional print lab, allowing you to purchase high quality prints, art work, or cards to be delivered directly to you so you can share the magic of that special day!

Alison photographed our daughter and family for her Bat mitzvah in 2016. What an easy experience! Anna was shy, easily overwhelmed, and slightly uncomfortable being photographed, but Alison immediately put her at ease with her gentle yet upbeat personality.
