The center started out in 2006 by a group of passionate professionals who wanted to help people look and feel their best. Rather than the damaging beds of the old days, The Island Salon and Spa offers SunFX Spray-on Tan. This service is not only completely safe, but it’s also quick and effective. The solution is made with natural bronzers, highly purified water, and the purest DHA out there. It’s also free of artificial preservatives, perfumes, oils, and alcohol. If this is your first time getting a spray tan, the team will ensure you know exactly what you need to do to make it last. They advise using a damp, soapy washcloth to exfoliate your skin as close to your appointment time as possible.
Once you’re out of the shower, go ahead and skip the moisturizers, as hard as that might be! This Mercer Island tanning salon advises wearing dark, loose-fitting clothing so you don’t transfer or crease the color. Keep your skin dry for the next 6 hours (that means no exercising!) and shower the next morning. With this advice, your tan should last 5-10 days.
