Senior pictures have really come a long way. What started as corny, staged portraits have grown into gorgeous sessions that let you show off every inch of your personality. These pictures give you the chance to show the world all your accomplishments and tell the story of the person you are becoming. Whether you’re someone who has put in miles on your hiking boots or prefers to stick to adventures in the city, you can use your photo sessions to show some of your favorite surroundings. If you could use a little bit of help deciding just where to go, I would love to give you my personal guide. Here are some of the best locations to consider for your Bellevue High School Washington senior portrait sessions.
While some Bellevue High School Washington seniors prefer to stick with the rugged aspects of nature, others like to stick with the more polished aspects. By choosing garden locations for your session, you can have all the natural lighting of the sun while sticking to tidied, easy-to-navigate fields. Plus, your pictures will be bursting with color. One of the best locations for garden pictures is the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. This space has over 53 acres full of lovely blooms.
The Perennial Border is packed with tall blossoms on either side of the trail, and the urban meadow lets you get up close with thoughtfully placed benches. If you’re the type of person who lives for the fall, the Yao Garden comes alive with orange and red leaves once the cooler seasons start. Another favorite spot outside of the Botanical Gardens is the Kubota Garden. This verdant space gives you ornamental land alongside planned lakes. So you can incorporate both of these elements into your portraits.
By booking your Bellevue High School Washington senior pictures next to the waterfront, you’ll have some pretty quintessential Seattle views. If you’re looking for something a little easier to navigate, the Bellevue Botanical Gardens will again have the perfect spot for you. The Iris Rain Garden lets you get close to the water while incorporating some gorgeous flowers. Want to skip out on the blooms altogether? Then try out the Kirkland Marina Park. This space has piers that stretch out over the sea, so you can get as close as you want. There’s also plenty of green space and a gazebo. And, of course, the Seattle Pier gives you a way to incorporate both the city and the water without forcing you to travel too far.
Golden hour field pictures are a staple for a reason! You don’t have to worry about your outfit clashing against the surroundings. Plus, you also won’t have to dodge any crowds or worry about getting in anyone’s way. For my clients, I have used fields within Kirkland for these pictures, but we can find plenty of spaces closer to you. Parks and trails will typically have open areas, and nurseries will often have flower fields in case you want to tie in some blooms. Discovery Park has large, open fields with lush trees throughout.
Bridges will instantly elevate your Bellevue High School Washington photo session by tying in interesting architecture while giving you a natural way to pose. You can put your hands on the rail or lean against it without feeling overly stiff. Plus, bridges will give you a way to get close to some jaw-dropping surroundings. Once again, the Bellevue Botanical Garden comes in for the clutch with the Ravine Experience. This bridge was created to let you walk across the thick forests and get a closer view. Don’t feel like navigating the gardens? Then, we can find local parks with bridges that connect across the trails. There are lots of idyllic bridges that will give your portraits exactly the vibe you’re looking for. Piers will also give you a similar vibe while offering wonderful views of the city as well as the sea.
Seattle, Washington has so many great urban spaces for your Bellevue High School portraits. One of my recent clients and I did a photoshoot at the Olympic Sculpture Park downtown. While we were able to incorporate lots of natural elements, such as the sea and greenspace, we were also able to show off some of the things that make Seattle so unique. The Space Needle peeks out over the property while large, organic works of art add a one-of-a-kind accent.
If you want to get a little closer to the landmark, Seattle Center gives you open space, water fountains, and premium views of the city. Another space is Pike Place. Yes, you’ll have the iconic sign, but you’ll also have cafes, cobblestone walkways, and quiet alleys. If you don’t feel like dealing with the city but still want that urban feel, we can find smaller surrounding cities, including Issaquah and downtown Kirkland.
One of the absolute top places for your senior pictures is the place where you’ve spent the past four years of your life. By taking pictures in your high school, you can celebrate all you’ve done and give yourself a proper send-off. Before we book your session, we can look at the calendar and make sure there are no events happening. If things are clear, then the sky’s the limit! If you played sports throughout your tenure, we can get some pics of you on your field. You can choose to incorporate your gear or your varsity jacket. We can take some pictures on the bleachers overlooking the football field. The bridge near the entrance of Bellevue High School will also let you have your school in the backdrop while giving you tons of natural lighting.
