3 Great Issaquah Private Schools for Your Child’s Education!

Your child’s school is a big deal. This is where they will spend much of their time building friendships that will last for years. Even from elementary school, they are creating a foundation that will affect the way they learn for years to come. So, when it comes time to pick out a private school, you probably aren’t taking this decision lightly! As an Issaquah senior photographer, I have gotten the chance to chat with parents across the area about their school choices. Here are the Issaquah private schools I now always recommend.

Give Your Child An Incredible Boost With These Issaquah Private Schools

Summit Classical Christian School

1040 12th Ave NW, Issaquah, Washington 98027

Summit Classical Christian School is a private school that offers classes for Issaquah kids from preschool through 12th grade. The school serves as a ministry, using their studies to acknowledge the tenets of their Christian faith. They break their classes up into three approaches: the grammar phase lasts from K-5th grade and uses memorization; the logic phase lasts 6th-8th grade and teaches principle comprehension and reasoning; and the rhetoric phase lasts from 9th-12th grade and teaches expression and application. In addition to their daily classes, the campus hosts lots of events that let both you and your child stay connected. They also have sports such as tennis, golf, basketball, cross country, and more.

Dartmoor School

2800 Northup Way, Suite 120, Bellevue, Washington 98004

For nearly 35 years, Dartmoor School has been taking a unique private approach to their Issaquah classes. The school was started by a reading specialist to provide kids with the assistance they needed. Because they found their one-on-one approach so effective, they quickly began to expand into other topics. They now offer a school for kids grades 1-12. By continuing to provide this individualized method, they are able to recognize your child’s strengths and find ways to make the lessons far more effective. You are able to decide whether you want your child to attend full-time or enroll in a dual enrollment program. Their teachers work with a diverse group of students, including those who have neurodivergence.
