Explore Helping Out At These 3 Volunteer Opportunities In Bellevue

During the last years of high school, you need to constantly keep your eyes on the prize. College will be here before you know it, and it will be a major opportunity to get a headstart on your career. But before you can land your dream university, you first have to create the best application ever! While good grades, high test scores, and extracurriculars will get you far, volunteer opportunities are going to take your application to the next level. Now, it’s just a matter of finding one where you’ll actually want to put in the hours. As a Bellevue senior photographer, I adore working with students to help them make this season as memorable as possible! Here are some volunteer opportunities around Bellevue I think you’ll love!

Find The Perfect Fit For Your Interests With These Volunteer Opportunities In Bellevue

Seattle Humane

13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, Washington 98005

If you tend to understand dogs better than you understand Bellevue people, Seattle Humane has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! With this organization, students in grades 9-12 can come to the shelter and help out with a number of routine tasks like cleaning, watering bowls, and packing pet food. You can also find ways to learn all about animal welfare so you can help protect pets all across the community. They make it easy to get started. You will register through the website and pay a small registration fee, and then, you can start helping out with open shifts.

Pet Partners

345 118th Ave, SE #100, Bellevue, Washington 98005

Pet Partners is an organization that is all about showing the community the importance of therapy animals! They give you ways for both you and your pet to get involved. Because they do want to make sure everyone stays safe, they have pretty high standards for who they select in Bellevue for their volunteer opportunity program. Your animal must be trained, and you must know how to read their body cues. If you meet these requirements and are over the age of 10, you should be good to go! Whether you want to help kids read to your pet or fight for better legislation regarding therapy animal rights, you’ll have the perfect way to get involved.

If you are looking for a fun, fast-paced Bellevue environment, I think you are going to love the volunteer opportunities with KidsQuest Children’s Museum. This center gives kids a way to come and learn about the world around them. Volunteers ages 14 and up can assist with opportunities like running summer camps or leading activities at special events. You will start out by completing an application. Then, once opportunities open up, they will send them your way, so you’ll be the first to know!
